Golinhac: The Balcony of Aveyron

Perched on the heights of the Lot Valley at an altitude of 650 metres (2,130 ft), the charming village of Golinhac (12140) offers one of the most spectacular panoramas in the region. An essential and rewarding stopover on the Via Podiensis (the Camino route between Estaing and Conques), our village invites pilgrims and visitors alike to pause, breathe, and recharge.

Here, the authentic soul of Aveyron comes to life: rolling hills stretching as far as the eye can see, historic cobbled streets, the Church of Saint Martin, and a genuinely warm welcome.

Designed with respect for the environment, our guesthouse showcases local craftsmanship and regional materials while meeting high environmental quality (HQE) standards. To give the space a unique character while reducing our environmental footprint, we adopted a thoughtful approach to its décor: carefully selected second-hand furniture and vintage upcycled tableware, each with its own story, create a warm and welcoming atmosphere where heritage and sustainable tourism go hand in hand.
